The necklace is found in Anupama’s bag, and the police handcuff her. Baa says her daughter is not a thief. Beeji says the same thing. Yashdeep tries to talk to the police. The police ask Anuj what she did and she says she didn’t do it. She thinks someone dropped the necklace in her bag. The necklace was found in her bag, so the police say we need to arrest her. They put her in jail and take her away in a jeep. Anuj tells Anupama not to worry because she is not a thief. She calls Paul and asks him to keep her with him for a while. Toshu asks Paul if Pari is with them. I agree with Kinjal. In the jeep, Anupama begs the officer to take off her handcuffs because she feels like she can’t breathe. She says I’m a simple woman who’s here to make her dreams come true. She is told to be quiet by the officer. Anupama says I’m not guilty. Anuj and Yashdeep are on their way to the PS. Yashdeep talks to the lawyer about setting up bail. Toshu thinks about what he did and feels bad about it.
He thinks he made his mom look like a thief in public. He thinks about telling the police, but then he stops and thinks about Kinjal and Pari. He feels like he can’t call out the bad guys in front of the police. Toshu is told by Vanraj that Yashdeep tells them to go home because no one can go to the PS. A police officer leads Anupama to her cell and takes off her handcuffs. Anupama says thank you. The police officer leaves her and walks away. She tells herself, “Since you haven’t stolen anything, nothing bad will happen.” She cries and says, “The country is so big, they won’t punish the innocent.” She says I didn’t leave the store, and I will be shown not guilty. I didn’t do anything, she says. My son Toshu must be outside, she says. Anuj won’t let anything bad happen to me, she says. Everyone is here. People around her know she didn’t steal the money, she says. She tells herself not to be worried.
Anuj and Yashdeep go to the PS and ask the officer to let them meet Anupama. Anuj tells you to find the thief because she is not a thief.
